Mr Hahn qualified fron Birmingham University Medical School in 1984 and did his surgical training in Birmingham before becoming a registrar and senior registrar in Orthopaedics in Nottingham.
He spent a year as a Fellow in North Carolina, USA before being appointed as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Queens Medical Centre In Nottingham in 1996. He is an internationally recognised expert in Orthopaedic Trauma and regularly teaches and lectures throughout ther UK and abroad. He has numerous publications and has written book chapters on fracture care.
Over the past twenty years as a consultant, Mr Hahn has developed a huge expertise in knee injuries and knee conditions. He has established a very busy Acute Knee Clinic at the QMC and is very experienced in all aspects of knee surgery. He is affiliated to the two professional football teams in Nottingham as well as Nottingham Rugby and Notts CCC. He regularly teaches on knee surgery at The Royal College of surgeons and throughout the UK.
Apart from his sporting interests, he also has a large practice in knee arthritis undertaking partial and total knee replacement. He is a very experienced knee arthroscopy surgeon, and knee ligament reconstruction surgery performing in excess of 150 ACL reconstructions a year. Apart from his busy NHS practice he has two clinics a week at BMI The Park Hospital as well as a weekly operating list.
