Personal profile

Dr David Orton is a Consultant Dermatologist and Allergist with a practice focused on the diagnosis and management of allergic disease (eczema, contact dermatitis, urticarial and angioedema, food allergy/intolerance, rhinitis and hayfever, drug allergy).

Training and Appointment

Dr Orton studied medicine at Charing Cross and Westminster Hospital Medical School now part of Imperial College, London.

He underwent Dermatology training at the Royal Free Hospital and the Royal London Hospital. He completed higher training in Dermatology in 2000 and then undertook further sub-specialist training in Contact Dermatitis and Allergy.

He has been an accredited Consultant Dermatologist since 2000. For the past two years he has been in full time independent medical practice.

His previous NHS appointments were at Buckinghamshire NHS Trust where he established and ran the Paediatric and Adult Allergy services. He has also worked at the  Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Trust where he ran the cutaneous allergy investigation unit, and established the adult General Allergy service.

He was also Honorary Consultant at the Royal Free Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where he ran the cuteneous allergy investigation unit.
