Mr Corless is a Consultant General and Gastro-intestinal Surgeon at The South Cheshire Private Hospital, qualifying in medicine in 1985. He has been involved in bariatric or obesity surgery since 1995, whilst working in London.
He also runs a very busy NHS clinical practice for both elective and emergency cases in Cheshire and specialises in upper gastro-intestinal problems; operating regularly on the stomach. He has a special interest in keyhole surgery, which forms a large part of his work.
Mr Corless has a longstanding interest in minimally invasive surgery and bariatric (weight loss) surgery. He has a 20 year clinical and latterly research association with a team in Harley Street, where he also consults and advises on gastro-intestinal problems and obesity (weight loss) surgery. He also has a large endoscopy practice which is fully audited and includes both diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
