After graduating from Dundee University, Mr David Walker worked in various training jobs in Stirling and Dundee before completing higher surgical training in Glasgow. As part of this he was awarded the British Rhinological Society travelling fellowship which he undertook in facial plastic surgery in Toronto Canada.

Since 2010 Mr Walker has been a Consultant ENT Surgeon in NHS Fife and he has also been the Clinical Lead for the last 5 years.

He is the Teaching Lead with both Dundee and St Andrews undergraduate students and clinical supervisor for most of their junior doctors. He has a broad range of research interests and is a member of the Scottish Government Access Collaborative, National Thyroid Cancer board, Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of St Andrews and was Scottish representative on the British Rhinological Society council. He teaches on a range of post graduate courses including the Tayside Advanced Rhinoplasty Course and was Team Doctor for Stirling County Rugby Club up until 2020.

Mr Walker is the Director of Ungweru, a charity based between NHS Fife and St Andrews University improving nursing training and ENT provision in Malawi, Africa.
