Personal profile

Deborah graduated from the University of Surrey and completed her professional training at St George’s Hospital, London in 1992. She then went on to work at the Mayday Hospital, Epsom and St Hellier Hospital and Sutton & Merton PCT. She studied for a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Education and Health promotion at Southbank University and attained a teaching certificate at Kingston University.

Deborah is now a Registered Dietician and Weight Management Consultant and works on a freelance basis at a number of hospitals in the South East. She provides specialist nutrition and dietetic advice to both adults and children.

She has over 20 years’ experience of advising patients on nutrition and diet related diseases including IBS, Coeliac disease, colitis, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, eating disorders, weight management and the menopause, obesity and underweight. She specialises in weight management and has a particular interest in bariatric and disordered eating behaviour.

Deborah is highly experienced in providing individualised, practical, easy to follow information and support for her patients and believes that this is the key to a successful outcome.

Training and education are areas of Deborah’s expertise and she delivers training for medical and nursing staff on nutrition and public health for the NHS and private health care hospitals. She is also an active member of the British Dietetic Association and is Secretary of Freelance Dieticians Group.
