Mr Thavarajan is a full time Vascular and Endovascular Consultant Surgeon working within the South West Vascular Network, based at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
During the last nine years Mr Devan Thavarajan has been developing his specialist vascular experience in tertiary units across England and Scotland, including Liverpool, Bath, Edinburgh and Chester, building on his initial training at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
He has extensive experience in the management of aortic aneurysms (open or keyhole), stroke prevention surgery, limb salvage bypass and of particular interest day case varicose vein treatment including VNUS closure/laser ablation and foam sclerotherapy. He can often been found training junior surgeons in these techniques.
He is passionate about his work and is committed to providing high quality patient-centred care.
In his free time, Mr Thavarajan dedicates his time to his young family and sports. He is a keen squash and badminton player having played competitively at state level in his younger days.
