Personal profile

Mr Black did his surgical training in South Africa and Scotland.  He has a PhD concerned with surgical and biochemical aspects of reperfusion injury, involving micro-vascular techniques. His on-going interest is in hyperbaric oxygen treatment (HBOT) of vascular disorders. Mr Black retired from NHS in 2010 and now solely works in private practice.

Clinical Interests

  • Varicose Veins: diagnosis and management, including latest minimally invasive (“keyhole”) techniques and micro-injection treatment of spider veins.
