Dr Elaine Abberton is an experienced Private General Practitioner with specialisms in Family Medicine, preventative health and lifestyle health screening Medicine. A UK qualified General Practitioner with 20 years extensive experience in the Private, Corporate and NHS sectors, including Harley Street and the City of London. Dr Abberton has worked extensively in many of the renowned Harley Street practices since 2007 and has had the privilege of being General Practitioner and Company Doctor at UBS Investment Bank in the City of London and Clifford Chance Law Firm LLP in Canary Wharf, London. She has provided medical care to patients working within the top UK and International Blue Chip companies in the City of London and those working in the Media/Entertainment industry, in the film/TV and music sectors.    

Dr Abberton qualified in Medicine and Surgery from Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ School of Medicine, King’s College, London in 2001. In addition, she holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Anatomical Sciences (Anatomy and Biochemistry) from the University of Dundee studying under the supervision of Professor E. Birgit Lane, leader in Cell Biology and EBS disease and Professor Sir David Lane, leader in Oncology and discoverer of the p53 gene. During her medical training she undertook a sub-Internship at Yale University, USA in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. 

Whilst training as a General Practitioner in London, she worked in various specialities in the London teaching hospitals of Chelsea and Westminster and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals. She has a breadth of experience having worked across Medicine, Surgery, Accident & Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Genito-Urinary Medicine and Family Medicine whilst training as a General Practitioner. Qualifying as a General Practitioner in 2006 she achieved her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and subsequently gained experience working as a Private GP and Primary Care Physician in Dublin and Galway, Ireland before returning to London in 2007 where she has practiced since.
