Personal Profile
Dr Elaine Young qualified from University of Liverpool in 1988 and gained considerable experience in the field of oncology before joining the Royal Preston Hospital in 2000 as a Consultant Oncologist.
Dr Young’s special area of interests are Breast Cancer, Upper GI Cancer, Chemotherapy & Radiotherapy.
Whilst simultaneously maintaining a busy hands-on consultant practice Dr Young continues her clinical research with a number of trials still ongoing in the field of breast cancer and oesophageal cancer.
As a keen teacher she currently is involved in the teaching and development of undergraduates and postgraduates.
