Personal profile

I was born & brought up in London and graduated in Medicine from Liverpool University. My Senior House Officer Training was carried out in various London Hospitals, covering most of the core specialties in Medicine. I did my Higher Specialist Training in Gastroenterology & General Medicine in South Wales having moved here in year 2000.

I have worked in most of the main hospitals in South Wales including Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport; Singleton & Morriston Hospital, Swansea & Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant. I did my post graduate M.D. research through Swansea University on the use of Patient Reported Outcome Measurements in routine clinical practice (through use of patient completed quality of life questionnaires). I enjoy doing endoscopy and have completed JAG approved courses in both Upper & Lower GI Therapeutic Endoscopy.

I am now a full time Consultant in Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest. I am one of two accredited colonoscopists’ in West Wales, carrying out screening colonoscopies for the Welsh Bowel Cancer Screening program. I have had broad training & enjoy seeing all aspects of Gastroenterology & Liver Cases. I enjoy teaching and am the Royal College Tutor for Core Medical Training in Pembrokeshire. My spare time involves enjoying time with my family & 2 young kids. They love being Welsh & living in this beautiful part of Wales. I keep a keen interest & am closely involved with Technology & Computers.
