Mr Qureshi is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon based in Manchester and is Clinical Director of Ophthalmology at the Northern Care Alliance. This position means that he leads the eye departments at Fairfield General Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary, The Royal Oldham Hospital and also Tameside General Hospital. Which has the second largest eye department in Manchester and serves around 1 million patients.
Mr Qureshi provides a full range of general ophthalmic services, with special interests including all disorders of the eyelids (commonly malposition and abnormal masses), lacrimal system (watery eyes) and orbit (abnormalities of the tissues around the eye and the eye socket).
He graduated with Honours from the University of Manchester. He completed his basic ophthalmic training in Worcestershire, East Anglia and Liverpool. His advanced oculoplastic surgery training was initially in Liverpool followed by two years of fellowship training in Manchester and Sydney, Australia. He is a a full member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
Mr Quresh is a full member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society and has published and presented in many aspects of Ophthalmology and continues to research interests in oculoplastic surgery.Mr Qureshi holds private clinics at Oaklands Hospital in Salford and The Highfield Hospital in Rochdale.
