Personal profile

I qualified from St.Petersburg Medical University – Russia, in 1997. Following this I worked at the Jordan university and Zayed military teaching hospitals before moving to the UK in 2003. I undertook my SHO posts in South Wales and started my career in diabetes 2007 at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool, followed by a succession of specialist registrar jobs in the East of England Multi-Professional Deanery – cambridge.

I worked as a locum consultant at James Paget University hospital since 2013, until my appointment at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in February 2014.

Clinical Interests

All aspects of diabetes and endocrinology management. Cardiovascular risk reduction in diabetes and weight management. In-patient management of the diabetes and its related complications. Diabetic foot management. Insulin Pump treatment for patients with type 1 diabetes. Erectile dysfunction and loss of libido (sex drive). Thyroid disease and lack of energy. Hirsutism (abnormal growth of hair on a woman's face and body).
