After finishing her training through the Wessex rotation, Dr Fouz Rahmeh has spent the last ten years working as a Rheumatologist.
Dr Rahmeh provides outpatient and inpatient care for people with rheumatic conditions, and runs special interest clinics, including connective tissue clinics and spinal clinics, as well as doing general rheumatology clinics.
Alongside the clinical work, Dr Fouz Rahmeh takes part in research, audits and teaching. She is the chairperson for DARE (Dorset Alliance for Rheumatology Excellence) and is also a member of the ARMA group (Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance). Within Poole Hospital, she is a member of the Drug Committee.
Dr Rahmeh performs various rheumatological procedures, along with joint and spinal injections. Having trained to perform ultrasound for some conditions, she now uses the US machine we have in the department to help in diagnosis and treatment.
Dr Fouz Rahmeh holds regular outpatient appointments at BMI The Harbour Hospital on Friday mornings and various other times where necessary, to treat patients with back pain, neck pain, joint pain, arthritis, auto-immune conditions and stiffness.
