Mr G Mani qualified from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India, one of the top three medical schools in India. He completed his pecialist training and research in Trauma & Orthopaedics in India ( AIIMS, New Delhi), England (Oswestry, Stoke-on Trent, Liverpool & Bristol) and Hong Kong (Chinese University) between 1978-95.
He was then appointed consultant in the NHS in 1995, first at Birmingham City Hospital, then at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup (1996) and is now based at Orpington Hospital, Princess Royal University Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital under King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
His clinical & basic research has been in the areas of hand surgery, foot & ankle surgery, trauma and nerve injuries. He has more than a dozen, indexed, peer-reviewed publications in top international journals, with over 100 citations in other learned articles. His private clinics are at BMI Blackheath Hospital and BMI Chelsfield Park Hospital. He currently treats patients with hand, foot & ankle and trauma related conditions.

- Medal for Best Research Thesis for MCh (Orth), Liverpool (1989)
