Personal profile

I am a consultant physician in respiratory and general medicine based at West Wales General Hospital, Carmarthen with an additional outpatient clinic at Prince Phillip Hospital, Llanelli.

I completed my specialist training in the Welsh Deanery in January 2006.   I undertook a short fellowship in Holland training in thoracoscopic and interventional bronchoscopy techniques.  I was appointed as a consultant respiratory physician at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, where I established a pleural investigation service using ultrasound and thoracoscopy.

I also developed a COPD supportive discharge and hospital at home service. I am now living in Carmarthenshire with my wife and two children.

I feel that I am an approachable doctor and I am particularly keen to ensure that patients are fully informed and involved in all aspects of their care.
