Mr Fayad completed his general medical training in Belgium and France before completing extensive specialist further training in Oto-Rhino-Laryngology in Europe and in the United States. George Fayad has been the Governor of the International College of Surgeons since his election to the position on 4th December 2008. Mr Fayad is the lead rhinologist and chairman of the ENT department at the Basildon and Thurrock NHS University Hospitals. Mr Fayad is also responsible for the allergy clinic at Basildon Hospital. Mr Fayad pioneered the Breathe titanium nose implant which is a breakthrough in nose surgery for patients with nasal valve collapse. He performed the first operation of this kind in the UK in May 2009.
