Dr Gupta’s medical training began in Manchester where he gained a wide knowledge in all medical disciplines. His dermatology career was based around the West of Scotland and after four years of dedicated training in all aspects of dermatology, he was appointed a Consultant Dermatologist in Lanarkshire in 1999.

He now provides a full clinical programme in both medical and surgical dermatology. Since 2005, he has focused on the management of skin cancer and in 2009, he was appointed as the Clinical Lead for the West of Scotland skin cancer network. He is responsible for the skin cancer multidisciplinary team meetings and actively participates in audit and research.

Dr Gupta currently holds the post of Consultant Dermatologist, NHS Lanarkshire and is the Clinical lead for the West of Scotland Skin Cancer Network

He has specialist interests in the management of skin cancer, mole screening, topical therapy of pre-cancerous skin conditions, tele-dermatology, laser therapy.
