Mr Gourab Misra is the lead for gynaecological services, minimal access surgery and the endometriosis centre at University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) NHS Trust. Mr Gourab started the advanced laparoscopic surgery at UHNM and also set up North Staffordshire Endometriosis Centre which has national accreditation (British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy). He has also set up a multidisciplinary team with colorectal, urology and pain specialists.
Mr Misra trained in advanced laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and robotic surgery in benign gynaecology. He completed the Diploma in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy from the University of Surrey in 2010. He is also trained in robotic surgery and completed a Masters of Surgery in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery from Anglia Ruskin University in 2015.
Mr Misra was awarded a fellowship (FRCOG) from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in London. He is also trained in performing gynaecological ultrasound and has received accreditation from the RCOG.
