Mr Wazait is a leading and experienced consultant urological surgeon. He has moved to Hillingdon and Mount Vernon Hospitals in 2017 having previously worked as a consultant at Addenbrooke and Hinchingbrooke hospitals in Cambridgeshire.

Mr Wazait completed his specialist training in the north London hospitals network and spent his period of clinical research at The Royal College of Surgeons of England and Whittington Hospital. His main research project was about the catheter associated urinary tract infection. 

He published in peer reviewed journals and presented nationally and internationally on different urological topics. Additionally, he has been awarded the title of Faculty Tutor, Institute of Urology and Nephrology in London. He was included in the editions of “Who’s Who” in medicine and Healthcare (USA).

His final year of training was in the world-renowned Stone Unit at St. Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals. The Unit was awarded as a Fellowship centre and centre of Excellence by the European Board of Urology. He has also taught in various national courses and trained many urologists to become consultants.

Mr Wazait has an interest in kidney stone disease and offers all forms of surgical intervention including LASER for stones. Green Light LASER vaporisation of the prostate is also one of his interests. He is perhaps the only urologist offering this procedure in Northwest London Hospitals. He has an excellent experience in manging overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, and painful bladder syndrome/ interstitial cystitis cases. He offers PTNS (posterior tibial nerve stimulation), bladder instillation and Intravesical botox injection for the appropriate patients. He is in addition competent in all aspects of general urology, cancer diagnosis and management and general paediatric urology, including circumcisions. He deals with benign and malignant prostate disease. 

He will see patients with concerns about prostate cancer or bladder cancers and is a core member of the cancer team (MDT) ensuring all cases are managed and discussed at the local multi-disciplinary team.
