Personal Profile
Helen qualified from Southampton University in 1994 and has been practising anaesthesia since 1997, taking up a consultant post in 2005.
She anaesthetises regularly for ophthalmic, gynaecological, general and day case surgery. She also provides obstetric anaesthesia for the maternity unit at Poole. She was awarded the Humphry Davy medal in 2008 by the Royal College of Anaesthetists for services to anaesthesia.
When not being an anaesthetist or mother of two, Helen is a keen slalom water skier.
