Personal profile

Mr Sheth is a consultant eye surgeon, joining Buckinghamshire Healthcare in 2011 and BMI in 2016. He first learned and performed cataract surgery in the year 2000 and so has 15 years experience.

He qualified from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, Imperial College, London in 1997 and undertook rotations in Accident and Emergency in London and in Neurosurgery, Plastic surgery and Ophthalmology in Brisbane, Australia.

His basic surgical training in Ophthalmology was at St Thomas’ Hospital in London, followed by higher surgical training in Ophthalmology and Cataract Surgery at internationally recognised Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He also has fellowship training in the sub-specialty of Glaucoma.

He has been active in teaching and research with 34 peer-reviewed publications and 20 posters presented nationally and internationally. He was a teaching fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital and has led teaching for GP colleagues at the Royal Society of Medicine, London and also at Wycombe Hospital and similarly been involved in teaching optometry colleagues at Moorfields, City University and in Buckinghamshire.

Mr Sheth offers self-pay patients cataract assessment and surgery at both The Chiltern and The Shelburne Hospitals. Appointment times are flexible to suit your lifestyle and circumstances.
