Mr Kazi graduated from the University of Liverpool Medical School in 2002 MBChB with Honours. During his medical degree he completed an intercalated BSc in Human Anatomy graduating First Class with Honours. He completed Basic Surgical Training on the Mersey Deanery Rotation in 2005 gaining his membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
After a brief period working in Shropshire he commenced orthopaedic training on the Mersey Deanery training programme in 2007. He completed all aspects of general orthopaedics gaining his FRCS (Tr&Orth) in 2011. After numerous high volume joint replacement posts in Merseyside he was competitively selected to complete a one year fellowship in Toronto, Canada.
From 2012 – 13 he was a lower extremity/arthroplasty fellow at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Canada’s biggest arthroplasty unit and biggest trauma centre. During his tenure he was exposed to and performed high volume complex arthroplasty surgery and numerous research projects for which he received a nomination for the University of Toronto, Department of Surgery, Zane Cohen Fellow of the Year Competition.
From June 2013 he was Hip Fellow in the world renowned Exeter Hip Unit at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre. Here he performed high volume hip replacement and revision surgery and became well versed in the technique of performing the Exeter Hip replacement. He is now a faculty member on Exeter Training Courses.
He has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Mid Cheshire Hospitals since December 2014.
