Mr Ioannis Katsimilis qualified from Semmelweis University of Budapest in 1997. Following compulsory posting as a Military Doctor in the Greek Army, he entered Radiology training in 2000, at “Areteion” University Hospital and “Tzaneion” General Hospital in Athens-Greece, obtaining his CCT in 2006.
Then he worked as a general cross-sectional Radiologist at “Euroclinic” of Athens General Private Hospital (2006-2014).
Moving to the UK, he then undertook an 18 month fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology (2014-2015) in Southampton University Hospital prior to his appointment in Poole Hospital on 2 November 2015.
Mr Katsimilis has participated in more than twenty international and national radiological and medical conferences.
Ioannis Katsimilis now works at BMI The Harbour Hospital as a Consultant Radiologist specialising in Musculoskeletal Radiology and Cross – Sectional Imaging (CT & MRI Scanning).
Outside of work Ioannis enjoys free style diving and reading.
