Personal profile

Jacqui qualified as Dietitian in 1992 from Leeds University, specialising in Diabetes management since 1995. Currently, Joint Team Lead in Diabetes at Wigan Wrightington  and Leigh NHS Trust and private healthcare.

Part of specialist Diabetes Teamworking alongside Consultant Diabetologist and Diabetes Specialist Nurse at the BMI Alexandra hospital. Jacqui has 28 years of specialist knowledge in dietary and physical activity measures and believes these  are the cornerstone of managing disease and improving your health outcomes.

She understands the importance of tailored and specific dietary advice as every client is unique. She takes part in research and involved in a  current study involving   Type 2 Diabetes remission, soon to be published.

Other specialities include Bariatrics, Weight management, Maternal health and fertility  and I currently work as Lead Sports Nutritionist at loughborough with elite athletes from England Netball, Hockey, UK Athletics and Motorsports UK.

She is a supplementary prescriber for Diabetes medications. Jacqui has regional and national educator roles in both diabetes and sports nutrition  at Loughborough college and across greater Manchester
