Mr James Jeffery has worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at The BMI Sandringham and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals since 2001. He qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1988 and completed registrar attachments on The Royal Free/Stanmore rotation in North London. Prior to taking up his consultant appointment in Kings Lynn he completed a one year Fellowship at The Royal Perth Hospital, Australia training specifically in hip and knee surgery, with a focus on more complex cases.
His clinical practice is exclusively hip and knee surgery, performing over 200 joint replacement operations annually. He encourages early mobilisation after surgery, with the majority of patients able to go home 2-3 days after their operation. Operations are tailored to patient specific factors, with a focus on partial (unicompartmental) knee replacement for patients with isolated osteoarthritis affecting only one side of the knee.
