Mr James Tweedle

Personal profile

Mr Tweedle qualified in 1989 after training at Glasgow Medical School and the West of Scotland urological training program. He is a Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising in almost all aspects of general adult urology with particular interest in minimally invasive surgery.

He has worked as a consultant in Forth Valley since 2001 and is the Lead of the Urology Department. Mr Tweedle has always been involved in training junior urologists and finds that it keeps him fresh with new ideas. He is always aware of when surgery may be best avoided and its limitations.

  • Investigation of haematuria and urological malignancie
  • Vasectomy esp as a local anaesthetic optionve but equally happy with general anaesthetic if seems preferable either from the surgeon or the patients perspective
