Mr. Jason Nandlal has been an NHS Consultant Podiatric Surgeon since 2003.  Qualifying from  Plymouth School of Podiatric Medicine in 1985, by 1987 he had begun his podiatric surgery training.  His surgical fellowship was completed at Bridge Hospital 1999, Essex and achieved his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Surgical Training in 2003, whereby he achieved his goal and was appointed NHS Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at Mid Essex PCT, and South East Essex PCT, Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at Hendon Hospital.  Subsequently he has completed a MSc in Theory of Podiatric Surgery and an Annotated Podiatric Surgeon both from The University of Huddersfield.  He has gain Independent Prescriber status, been awarded a fellowship by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeon, Glasgow in Podiatric Medicine and he has previously served as the Vice Dean of Faculty of Podiatric Surgery.  

His passion runs deep for his profession, currently a surgical tutor and examiner for the Royal College of Podiatry Faculty of Podiatric Surgery.  He invests his time in training junior Podiatric Surgeons he has lectured regionally, nationally, and internationally on subject of Podiatric Surgery.  Leading workshops on osteotomy techniques for hallux abducto valgus (bunion) and skin suturing workshops.  He is a visiting clinical lecturer at the Huddersfield University on both the MSc Theory of Podiatric Surgery and the new Master of Podiatric Surgery Training course.

Mr. Nandlal, provides a comprehensive range of foot and ankle, day surgical procedures.  His 40-year career of working with an array of foot and ankle pathologies, both for functionally and aesthetically provides him with an exceptional knowledge base for him to draw on.  His specialism is in pathology of the hallux metatarsal phalangeal (big toe) joint function, including hallux   valgus, hallux rigidus (arthritis) and revision surgeries.  He has a holistic approach and considers the patient to be at the centre of any treatment.  Tailoring the treatment to which best suits the individual’s lifestyle, ensuring that conservative options have been exhausted (including ultrasound guided joint and soft tissue injections), and the patient is aware of the options available with Mr. Nandlal’s expertise enabling the patient to fully understand their procedure discussing the risks and benefits of any treatment that is recommended.  His care plan means he is with the patient, ever step of the way.  From their initial consultation to subsequent follow-up appointments.  He is happy to discuss any concerns the patients may have prior to surgery.  It is his belief that,   no patient will ever be rushed, with any of their queries or concerns that they wish to discuss involving their foot health.

Mr. Nandlal prides himself on using the latest proven techniques and technology in foot surgery.  Including computerised gait analysis, ultra sound guided injections and advanced bone fixation, delivering a high rate of audited satisfaction, and low rate or revision or re-operation.  The benefits of Podiatric Surgery involve the specialist surgical treatment of the foot and all related structures.  Podiatric Surgery seeks to treat developed foot deformities, thereby reducing pain, and improving mobility.  He currently provides high quality foot and ankle surgery in the NHS (also as “Choose & Book”), and privately at three Circle Health Group hospitals across North London and an independent Hospital in South Essex.  

When Mr Nandlal is not working he enjoys clay pigeon shooting and now watching cricket from the pavilion at Lords as a new member of the MCC. He still has a passion for motorsport and watching football in North London.  Other interests include Freemasonry and Rotary. He is also a Freeman of the City of London.
