I work as a Consultant in Anaesthetics and Pain Medicine at Lincoln County Hospital and Grantham District Hospital. I graduated in 1997 from Mumbai, India. I completed my postgraduation in Anaesthteics in 2000 from Mumbai, India. I started my career in United Kingdom in 2003 as Senior House officer in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I came back to England as a registrar at the University Hospital of Leicester.
It was in Leicester that I got interested in pain medicine and completed a 12 months dedicated training in pain medicine. I was mentored by Professor Rowbotham and Dr Beverley Collett who are well known into the pain world. I took keen interest in learning about fibromyalgia and use of lignocaine infusions to treat this condition. I have presented posters in British Pain Society annual scientific meetings.
I have published review articles on Pain and Fibromyalgia and Trigeminal neuralgia: pathophysiology and management. I am presently spreading my knowledge of pain medicine in the Lincolnshire community by delivering talks to GPs in Lincolnshire county.
