Professor Jaydip Ray

Personal profile

Jaydip Ray is Clinical Director and Consultant ENT Surgeon at Royal Hallamshire Hospital and Sheffield Children’s Hospital. He completed his higher surgical training in ENT at University Hospital Birmingham. His fellowship experience includes Cambridge, Sydney, Australia and Stanford, USA.

He has a wide ranging ENT practice in both the NHS and private and provides a tertiary referral service for complex hearing and balance disorders. He started the osseointegrated hearing implants and prosthetic ear reconstruction service at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

He is the Research Lead for ENT and is an expert member of South Yorkshire Research Ethics Committee. He is a member of the Court of Examiners of the Royal College of Surgeons. He directs the Sheffield Advanced Ear Surgery Course and the Core Skills Course in ENT and lectures regularly on a number of local and national courses and has 40 reviewed publications.
