Personal profile

Dr Tedstone obtained a First Class Bachelor of Science Psychology Degree and then completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1996 at Manchester University. She began her career with Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in October 1996. She has worked for18 years as an NHS Clinical Psychologist specialising in supporting patients with physical health conditions such as chronic pain, cancer, diabetes, cardiac and respiratory problems.

She worked for 5 years as part of the specialist palliative care team at John Eastwood Hospice and is also experienced at supporting patients undergoing reconstructive surgery. Dr Tedstone became a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and began her private practice at BMI The Park Hospital in 2011.

She continues to work 2 days within the NHS, mostly within pain management and cancer care, whilst managing a team of specialist clinical psychologists working in a range of physical health settings. She has published research in the areas of Intensive Care, Burn Injuries and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder following physical illness and treatment.

Clinical Interests

Specialist psychological assessment and treatment of adults with physical health problems including cancer, chronic pain, long term conditions (for example diabetes, cardiac, respiratory and gastro-intestinal problems). She also has a clinical interest and experience of supporting people undergoing reconstructive surgery.
