Dr. Joey Lai-Cheong is a consultant adult and paediatric dermatologist and holds his NHS post at the King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor where he is the clinical lead for paediatric and adolescent dermatology.

He has a busy NHS dermatology practice where he sees children and adults with a wide range of skin problems. He holds a First Class Honours degree in Genetics and ranked top of his year from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He graduated in medicine from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne Medical School with the Goyder Memorial commendation in Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Joey Lai-Cheong is one of a handful of UK dermatologists who have been awarded the prestigious and highly competitive Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellowship. He also holds a PhD in Skin Sciences from the University of London and was the first National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Lecturer in Dermatology in London.

Dr. Joey Lai-Cheong trained in Dermatology at the world renowned St John's Institute of Dermatology based at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He has had further training in Paediatric and Adolescent Dermatology at the Chicago Children’s Memorial Hospital in the United States. Dr. Lai-Cheong has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers in high impact international journals including the New England Journal of Medicine and the American Journal of Human Genetics.
