Dr Ealing medical degree, general medical training and early neurological experience was in London gaining his MRCP(UK) in 1996. Appointed to the post of Wellcome Research Training Fellow at the University of Oxford, he successfully submitted his doctorate thesis, before moving to the north-west in 2001 to continue his neurological training at Preston, and then Manchester.
Living in Rossendale for the last 5 years, he was delighted to be appointed Consultant Neurologist at Fairfield General Hospital and at the Greater Manchester Neurosciences Centre based at Hope Hospital, Salford in October 2005.
Although experienced in the full range of neurological conditions, his specialist work at Hope Hospital is in motor neurone disease and neurogenetics. He has fostered strong links with allied specialists in Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery and Neurorehabilitation. In addition, as his wife is a local GP, he has an excellent understanding of the rapid pace of change in primary care and is committed to providing a service that is responsive to the needs of people with neurological disease, their carers and fellow professionals.
