Mr John Potter is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust.  He was appointed in 2003 and has developed the laparoscopic renal surgery service at Northampton for the treatment of kidney cancer and the use of botulinum toxin for the treatment of overactive bladders.

He qualified from Oxford University and trained on the North London Urological Rotation. He worked at the Royal Free Hospital, the Hammersmith Hospital and completed his training at University College Hospital, London.

Mr Potter has published peer reviewed papers in the British Journal of Urology International and has presented papers at international urological conferences.

Mr Potter has been offering a urological private practice at BMI Three Shires Hospital for over nine years.  Consultations are offered on Thursday mornings.

Mr Potter consults on all aspects of general adult urology and inguino-scrotal surgery.  He has a particular interest in laparoscopic renal surgery.
