Personal profile

Dr Todd qualified from Dundee University in 1995. His career in gastroenterology started as a junior doctor in Tayside, complemented by 2 years as a research fellow in gastoenterology at Ninewells Hopsital. This period of research was spent researching complications of gastroesophageal reflux disease, specifically Barrett's oesophagus. His training in gastroenterology was completed by 4 years spent on the South Trent Gastroenterology Rotation.

Dr Todd initial consultant appointment was at the Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline for 2.5 years. Since 2007, he has been a consultant Gastroenterologist at Ninewells Hospital and Stracathro Hospital. His NHS commitments include general gastroenterology clinics, an inflammatory bowel disease clinic, gastroscopy, colonoscopy and dealing with complex nutritional problems.
