Mr John Rosson has more than 15 years experience as an Orthopaedic Consultant and specialises in all aspects of hip replacement surgery including resurfacing and revision procedures.
Mr John Rosson trained in Southampton and London (St Mary’s and St George’s). At the end of his training he undertook a years clinical fellowship at Sunnybrook Medical Centre in Toronto, specialising in joint replacement and trauma. On return to the UK he took up a post at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and he has worked at Mount Alvernia for the past 16 years.
Mr Rosson performs more than 200 hip procedures every year and has expertise in all areas of this type of surgery.
He has been widely published on the subject of hip replacement including recent work on avoiding blood transfusion in hip replacement and the effect of total hip replacement on the employment status of patients.
