Mr Walczak trained at Guys' Hospital Medical School. His post-graduate training included a specialist fellowship in hip surgery. He is on the GMC’s Specialist Register and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He was revalidated in June 2013.
He was appointed as Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Bromley NHS trust in 1999 and continues to work at the Farnborough, Beckenham, Sevenoaks and Orpington Hospital sites, which are now part of Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
His private practices are based at BMI Chelsfield Park, BMI The Sloane, BMI Shirley Oaks Hospital and Sevenoaks Medical Centre.
His special interests are lower limb joint replacement including minimal access hip and knee replacement. He has developed a minimal access approach to the hip and used this in over 2000 cases of hip replacement.
Mr Walczak also has an interest in sports medicine including injuries to hips, keyhole knee surgery, knee ligament reconstruction (including anterior cruciate ligaments) and calf and foot problems. As a keen runner and swimmer he understands the needs of the athlete.
