Mr Josh Wright qualified from Sheffield University in 1987. His haematology training was undertaken in Sheffield and Liverpool. He also undertook a period of research at the Medical Research Council unit in Kingston, Jamaica.
In 1998 Mr Wright commenced his first consultant post at City Hospital in Birmingham. Whilst there he established one of the first Haemoglobinopathy Day case units. In 2002 he moved back to Sheffield to take up a post in a larger department.
He is currently head of Department and Lymphoma lead clinician for the network. Research interests include late effects of cancer therapy, clinical trials in lymphomas and sickle cell disease.
