I acquired my surgical training at King Edward Memorial group of hospitals and Tata Memorial hospital (leading cancer centre in India) in Mumbai obtaining the Master of Surgery and Diplomate of National Board.
My strive for perfection and quest for knowledge in cancer surgery made me work at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital and at a cancer centre in Montpellier, France. I completed my UK general surgical training in hospitals in the North West Thames region, London.
I have endeavoured throughout my practice to rise and meet the high standards and expectations of my patients with an ambition to practise the art of surgery in its best form, perfecting its finesse. I continue to update my skills as new techniques emerge.
My aptitude for clinical research work led to several publications in international peer- reviewed journals and presentations at international and national meetings on breast cancer, soft tissue sarcoma and gastrointestinal cancer. I have done research studying the effect of hyperthermia on tumour cells.
I work in a multidisciplinary team setting and involve appropriately other specialities. My areas of interest are breast cancer, breast oncoplastic and laparoscopic surgery. I can offer breast reconstructive procedures for patients undergoing mastectomy.
