Dr. Kausik Das was graduated from Calcutta, India and acquired extensive experience in general gynaecology during his research leading to MD. Dr Das received his specialist training in the UK in the Wessex and West Midlands regions. He worked as a clinical research fellow in Minimal Access Surgery leading to accreditation in Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic surgeries from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He also received a Diploma in Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery from the University of Auvergne in France.
He has received the prestigious Alan Gordon Travelling Fellowship from the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) in 2014. He also received a second travelling fellowship for laparoscopic surgery in France in 2018.
Currently Dr Das offers a wide range of general gynaecology services including management of menstrual disorders, fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain and genital prolapse. He also offers a number of specialist gynaecology services such as minimal access gynaecological surgery, ambulatory gynaecology and rapid access screening for suspected gynaecological cancers.
Dr Das specialises in the various forms of treatment of menstrual disorders, endometriosis and fibroids including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries. He offers laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis and different varieties of ovarian cysts. He specialises in various aspects of hysteroscopic procedures which include endometrial ablation and removal of endometrial polyps. Dr Das has gained experience in gynaecological laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries in different specialist centres in the UK and Europe. He also has a special research interest in this area.
