Mrs Kavita Goswami has been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, Coventry, since the year 2000. She completed specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the West Midlands, followed by clinical fellowships at the Centre of Pelvic Reconstruction, Adventist Hospital, Sydney, Australia and at Cooper Hospital and Temple University, New Jersey, USA.
She is a regional trainer (RCOG) for transvaginal scanning, hysteroscopic, benign and laparoscopic surgery. She holds an RCOG/RCR accredited Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics Ultrasound Scanning.
She has broad based skills and manages all aspects of general gynaecology including menstrual disturbances, postmenopausal bleeding, pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, vaginal prolapse, urinary incontinence, vaginal discharge, adolescent gynaecology, and surgical management of miscarriages.
In addition to this, she undertakes pelvic floor and urogynaecology, pelvic pain and menstrual disorder one stop clinics. She also offers ambulatory outpatient gynaecology procedures (outpatient hysteroscopy, opening of female circumcision, endometrial ablations, Myosure endometrial lesion resections).
She offers a range of abdominal, vaginal, hysteroscopic, and laparoscopic surgeries (including laparoscopic hysterectomy). She undertakes perineal refashioning and labial reduction, as well. Her consulting and operating charges are within BUPA monetary limits and she is a registered practitioner with most health insurance companies.
Mrs Goswami has research interests in uterovaginal prolapse repair, urinary incontinence, female circumcision (FGM) and hysteroscopic resection of fibroids.
