Mr Khalid Canna

Personal profile

Mr Khalid Canna graduated in 1986 and worked as a junior doctor and subsequently research fellow in Iraq. His higher surgical training and colorectal subspecialisation was in the West of Scotland region where his advanced laparoscopic skills were further developed working for a year at the National Laparoscopic Training Unit in Glasgow.

Mr Canna has special interest in surgery for gall bladder diseases, abdominal wall hernias including inguinal and incisional hernias and all colorectal diseases especially inflammatory bowel disease, cancers and anal conditions such as, treatment of haemorrhoids. He also performs upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Khalid has published and delivered presentations nationally and internationally and has been an instructor on national course teaching advance techniques in laparoscopy bowel surgery.
