Personal Profile
Dr Bakhshi was appointed Consultant at Stoke Mandeville Hospital Bucks NHS Trust in October 1996. He is the senior consultant in charge of a multidisciplinary pain clinic at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Over the last ten years he has developed and expanded interventional techniques available for chronic and neuropathic pain as well as pain management facilities.
He qualified from Southampton Medical School. His postgraduate training was based in London where he worked at The Royal London, St Bartholomew's and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. He spent eighteen months as a research fellow in pain medicine at St Bartholomew's Hospital.
Dr Bakhshi also has a specialist interest in the management of neuropathic pain, e.g. Trigerminal neuralgia and post-herpatic neuralgia as well as the management of complex regional pain syndrome.
