After qualifying from Corpus Christi College Cambridge and Cambridge University School of Clinical Medicine in 1993, she completed a PhD at The Institute of Neurology and University College London.
LucyÃ‚Â¿s major research interest ties up with the clinical interest of epilepsy. Her PhD thesis was on The Role of Genetic Factors in Epilepsy and she has an ongoing interest in the causes of epilepsy including inflammatory causes and genetic conditions.
Dr Kinton is currently trying to develop the imaging and quantification of MRI volumes to try and improve the selection of patients for epilepsy surgery.
Dr Kinton is a general neurologist and in addition to assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological conditions, her special interest is in epilepsy diagnosis and treatment.
