Ms Lynn Stevenson graduated from The University of Aberdeen in 2001 and completed surgical training in Aberdeen with time spent in Inverness as part of her rotation.
Following successful completion of her higher surgical training, Ms Stevenson was selected to undertake a prestigious Ethicon sponsored fellowship in laparoscopic (key-hole) colorectal surgery. Having spent time as a consultant in Northern England, Ms Stevenson has now returned to the North-East of Scotland as consultant surgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Ms Stevenson is a consultant general surgeon and provides consultations at BMI Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen. She has a specialist interest in colorectal surgery but undertakes all aspects of general surgery including hernia and gallbladder surgery and minor ‘lumps and bumps’ removal.
Within her speciality of colorectal surgery, her scope of practice ranges from treating benign colorectal conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fissures, functional disorders, faecal incontinence and diverticular disease through to colorectal cancer diagnosis and management.
