Personal profile

Dr Seevaratnam is a Consultant Physician in General Internal Medicine. He qualified in Medicine from Sri Lanka’s Colombo University, while playing First Class Cricket. After training posts at Enfield, Northampton and Southampton University he was appointed Consultant at North and East Herts NHS trust. In 2014 he moved into private practice full time. 

Within the Trust he has been 

  • Clinical Director
  • Chairman of Drugs & Therapeutics Committee
  • Medical lead in Ethics Committee

Many clinician colleagues, staff members and GPs seek out Dr Seevaratnam for his clinical opinion. He makes himself available, admits inpatients and has outpatient clinics daily.

Dr Seevaratnam is married and has a son. An outstanding wicket keeper, he played First Class and representative cricket in Sri Lanka. He also played Middlesex County league cricket. Besides sport and keeping fit, he enjoys food, wine and music.
