Personal Profile
Dr Gharib has been a Consultant Haematologist since 2005. He has a long experience in diagnosing and treating various benign and malignant blood disorders including leukaemia, lymphomas and myelomas. Dr Gharib is also the clinical lead in thrombosis and anti-coagulation in STHK NHS Trust. He is interested in studying and managing patients' risk of thrombosis. He is the principal investigator for the first national trial looking at treating cancer induced thrombosis with the oral anti-coagulant, Rivaroxaban.
Dr. Gharib has a background experience in internal medicine from 1991 to 1998 which provides an excellent foundation in analysing patients symptoms and wider horizon in diagnosis and management.
He has published a wide range of research papers, case reports and textbook chapters and prides himself in the level of clinical and patient care.
