Mrs Prasad is an approachable doctor who takes pride in her communication skills with patients. She believes in keeping her patients fully informed and involved in all aspects of their care.
Mrs Prasad trained in the UK, and has been a consultant at the West Suffolk Hospital since 2006 with over 25 years’ experience in the speciality. She is the gynaecology cancer lead within the trust.
She primarily trained in India for her basic medical degree (MBBS) and post graduate training and qualifications (MD 1990) in gynaecology and obstetrics.
She is involved with postgraduate teaching and training and is the Training Programme Director for Health Education East of England and an examiner for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Her areas of expertise include general gynaecology- menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts; adolescent gynaecology; menopause management, HRT; Colposcopy/cervical pathology; vulval disease and suspected gynaecological cancer (Pelvic masses, postmenopausal bleeding). She performs a wide range of gynaecological surgeries including open and laparoscopic (key hole) procedures.
