Dr Srivastava qualified from Charing Cross Hospital London in 1984. Formerly Registrar at the University Hospital of Wales in 1987 and Senior registrar, Newcastle - upon - Tyne in 1992. Visiting Fellow University Hospital, Rotterdam in 1990 where further research and Endoscopy training was undertaken.
Dr Srivastava obtained his MD from London University in 1992 and has published papers on Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. He was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist in 1994.
