Personal profile

Following completion of a degree in Physics at Oxford University, Marianne completed her Masters degree in Audiology at the University of Southampton. She then trained and worked as an Audiological Scientist in Berkshire, completing her Certificate of Audiological Competence in 1997.

She moved to North Staffordshire to work in 2002. Since 2005, up to the birth of her first baby she worked as Consultant Clinical Scientist (Audiology) at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. Since then she has dedicated her time to developing her private practice Holt Hearing and Balance Services, alongside her husband, Philip.

  • Diagnostic private hearing, balance and tinnitus assessments for children and adults.

  • Development of customised rehabilitation programmes for hearing, balance and tinnitus difficulties.

  • As Independent Registered Hearing Aid Audiologist can advise on and fit full range of private high quality digital hearing aids and provide a wide range of customised hearing protection devices for work and leisure.
