Personal profile

Mr Gallagher’s formative years in the NHS were based in a regional civilian and military trauma unit based in Birmingham which allowed him to develop musculoskeletal and trauma specialities.

He has always worked in multidisciplinary (MD) settings and this has enabled him to understand how collaborative working provides the most effective outcome for our patient groups.

These MD relationships covered the key players in MSK cases such as Physiotherapists, sports doctors, orthopaedic surgeons, radiologists, GP’s, chiropractors, osteopaths, strength and conditioning teams and soft tissue therapists.

The ability to communicate openly with those involved in the care pathways is instrumental in optimising the end results for our patients and the process of understanding and learning from other disciplines makes clinical practice exciting and rewarding.
